📊 Statistical Functions

Analyze your data. Learn to count, average, rank, and understand the distribution of your numbers.

01. AVERAGE / AVERAGEA

The classic Mean. Learn the difference between averaging numbers and averaging text/booleans.

02. AVERAGEIF / S

Find the average of specific items. E.g., "Average score for Class A only".

03. COUNT / COUNTA

Count cells with numbers (COUNT) vs cells that are not empty (COUNTA).

Identify gaps in your data. Counts empty cells within a range.

05. COUNTIF / S

Count how many times a value appears. Great for frequency checks and duplicates.

Find the extremes. Get the smallest (minimum) and largest (maximum) number in a set.

07. LARGE / SMALL

Find the Nth value. "Who is the 2nd highest?" or "3rd lowest?".
